We stayed in The George this past week for 4 nights. A bit worried about the mixed reviews but were satisfied overall. We had a lovely room which we received as a complimentary upgrade- it was very large with nice decor. Great hotel, friendly staff. Dont book a room at the front of the hotel, very noisy at night and although had a million pound refit (which looks great) cheap double glazing that rattled when a bus whent past.
