Stayed at the Glenalmond house this spring with another couple. So 2 rooms were booked. I was not part of the booking process, but basically we had an "upgrade" and the other couple took that room. My husband and I stayed in one of the rooms on the first floor.. I think room 4? Anyway, SMALL room! Small bathroom !... More

Beautiful detached Victorian house, very tastefully decorated. My boyfriend and I stayed in a deluxe four poster double room for the weekend. The room was beautifully furnished and the bed so comfortable! Plenty of room and well equipped. The guest house was on a main bus route into the city centre with buses running every few minutes, so very easy... More

Lovely detached Victorian Townhouse. Located close to a bus stop so City Center was only minutes away. Restaurants close enough to walk to if you desired. Spent 3 nights and traveled around Scotland and came back our final night before going home. It was like returning home. Jimmy and Fiona were wonderful hosts. Our beds were comfortable. Large fluffy towels... More

We stayed in a deluxe room for 4 nights. I must say that the value of the room was much higher than the amount we paid! It has a very nice decoration of classic style furnitures and its a very cozy hotel! Its not in the center of the town but its very close to a bus stop where buses... More

We stayed here last year, so this is a little late. We stayed in the family room on the 2nd floor. It was tight, but fine for our needs. I have to say that this B & B has the best breakfast that we encountered. We spent 15 days in Scotland and traveled 1300 miles all over the country. This... More

Found this B & B on the internet after lots of searching. The rooms sounded lovely and it was in a good location, handy for Edinburgh centre. I booked by phone and the owner, Fiona sounded very friendly and welcoming. I booked two four poster rooms for three nights and wasn't disappointed, they were beautiful. Tastefully decorated and furnished and... More

We arrived earlier than expected in the morning but were greeted warmly by Jimmy and Fiona. I knew immediately that it was going to be a great stay at Glenalmond House. We were all tired from a long flight, but Jimmy made us hot tea and gave us some snacks while we waited for our room to be ready. Such... More

My husband and I spent three nights there over New Years to kick off our honeymoon in Scotland and Ireland. The room, while admittedly small, was clean and cozy. We didn't mind the size, because we were in Edinburgh to explore and not hang out in a hotel room! The bed was comfortable and the room had a wonderful early... More

Stayed for two Nights in Room 5 in September. Room was a small double, but was suitable for our short stay and was very clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. As a light sleeper, i was able to hear breakfast being prepared from the room next door and people coming and going from the dining room. But i think this is... More

Really great value for money. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is about a 30 min walk from downtown or 10 min by bus which is great. The breakfast is very filling and there's lots to choose from - and it's made to order! The only drawback was that the wifi didn't really work properly. We mentioned this... More

Thank you for your review of Glenalmond House, it is very much appreciated. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify the situation with the free wifi we offer in the guest house. The house itself is a Victorian building made from solid sandstone, and unfortunately this... More
