Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another lovely last minute overnight stay at the Rutland. Rooms had been refurbished and brightened up since our last visit and fitted out with a really comfortable bed! Staff on reception were warm and friendly and a nice touch added when our bag had been taken to our room as we had checked in quite early. Fresh milk for our cuppa in the morning as well. Not a bad view from our room either. Thanks for a very nice stay.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival. Check in was easy. Apartments are in a great location, so central to everything. The apartment itself was fabulous. It was spacious and had everything you need and great quality. We loved the decor and the mini bar was a nice touch. We will be back

Our first weekend break in Edinburgh with friends, arriving late on Friday night, very warm welcome by Craig and responsive emails when we were delayed. Great location, on a direct route from the airport by bus (Airlink 100), 25 mins and on the tram route. Very spacious, modern and clean apartment, everything needed for a relaxing stay. Close to the shops and a short walk to the sights. Plenty of bars and restaurants, but would recommend the Kyloe, (part of the hotel) for breakfast. Looking forward to returning to Edinburgh and The Rutland.

Stayed in the Apartments for the second time - absolutely amazing! The underfloor heating in the bathroom is an added bonus. The Apartments are so clean and comfortable with all the kitchen equipment you need to prepare a full meal (if you don’t bring your own condiments and food there is a Tesco and Sainsbury’s virtually next door). They are also considerably quiet considering their location, we slept like babies the 3 nights we stayed. Many thanks to Elizabeth, very helpful and welcoming. Really looking forward to our next visit.

Absolutely beautiful! The decor was gorgeous and so unique! Perfect location, right on top of the main city centre. The staff were lovely and helpful. Cleaners were lovely and always left room spotless and water, towels, milk etc always topped up. The bed was so comfortable, slept very well. Round the corner from the bus stop so easy links to the airport. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again! Thank you for a perfect stay :)

Fantastic Hotel, very friendly and helpful, we stayed in a castle view room that also looked over the Johnny Walker Museum, highly recommended. The Huxley Bar is very nice for breakfast & evening drinks and the Kyloe Restaurant is just amazing, you won't get a better steak in Edinburgh. The hotel itself is right on the corner of Princes St so only a short walk to everything i would say. All in all a great stay and would defo go back👍🏼
