The location is fine, right by the Commonwealth Swimming pool, and the entrance to Holyrood Park, giving you the opportunity of a pleasant stroll along the Crags to Holyrood Palace and then onto the Royal Mile. I had the distinct pleasure of staying at the Gifford House and had the most wonderful experience. The proprieters were very accomodating and the breakfast was a cut above the rest.. I would stay there again if I am ever back in Scotland. I will reccomend this hotel to my friends. more

This is a great place to stay if you're looking for elegance and comfort combined. Everything looks like it's recently been redecorated, all fresh and crisp.
