This place is trying to sell itself as something it is not and far from being. Previously it might have been decent, but now it is a horror. The room with scuffed walls and dirty carpets. The external air conditoning unit strapped to the external wall underneath the room was on and off all night providing an uncomfortable nights sleep.... more

I do not know where to start with how bad this place is (was for us); how it spoilt our holiday and how rude/arrogant the owner is. more

I booked rooms for my wedding and have just found out that all the rooms we had booked and had agreed a price on, have been given to other people - without even contacting us to tell us. The staff at the hotel, particularly the management, aren't really interested in helping resolve complaints and are only interested in booking people... more

Sells itself as a boutique hotel, but failed to live up to claims on web-site. When we arrived, the room was tidy, but a half-empty beer bottle was lef behind. We removed this and placed it outside our door. This was still there the following evening. It was clear that there was no room service. No cleaning had taken place... more

Location: A bit on the outskirts and a good 20min walk into the city centre - not quite the 10min stroll advertized. On street (pay & display) parking only. Rooms: Could be kind and say compact or honest and say tiny - the size of a double bed with a 600mm walkway all around. Also dark due to frosted window... more

Asked to pay in full upfront before even seeing a room. Nasty poky room with proverbial no room to swing a cat. Standard bathroom with mould. No room to store luggage except under bed. Breakfast eaten at a table under the staircase despite many booths being available. As it was 0930 I suggested not many people would be in for... more

We had the displeasure of staying at the Borough hotel for three days and three nights while supporting our friend's marriage. Our first impression of the hotel was pleasant, fairly hip, but trying to be something that they clearly were not. The hotel had apparently just switched management, so there were painting propped on the floor and piled up on... more

Having stayed at The Borough before, I thought this visit would be quite similar. How wrong could I be!? It seems that the hotel is under new management and here were several builders/electricians actually working around the hotel. One corridor was blocked by a workman on a stepladder which he had to move out of the wat to allow myself... more

Stayed for 3 nights and would definately go back, really friendly - great bar and restaurant - made you feel special. The guy that served breakfast was lovely - funny and gave us a complimentary bloody mary for our hangovers! Rooms are a little small but comfortable, location is a bit out of the way but worth the treck to... more
