Fantastic hotel. The place is beautiful, lobby, hallways, communal areas are spacious and tastefully decorated. Our room was just perfect, amazingly comfortable bed for a relaxing slumber, excellent facilites and the doors allowing access to the rooftop garden are a pure luxary! The staff were so accommodating and helpful, with a friendly approach to everything. Continental breakfast was fabulous, abundant... more

Loved this hotel. We had a huge room with a balcony terrace. The bedding was simply luxurious, not something I would normally comment on, but when I came home I had to buy the same quality duvet and bedding!! The staff were excellent - very helpful and polite. We probably wouldn't go back though, mainly, due to the lack of... more

We stayed in The Glasshouse for our engagement weekend. It was a nice experience but I'm not 100% sure I'd stay here again, as you could hear the music from CC Bloom's club (which is a few doors down the street) until 3 am - my fiance is a heavy sleeper so it didn't bother him, but I'm a light... more

Was in this hotel on a very brief and unplanned visit. It's really trendy, in a good location (about 5 mins walk from Waverley and Princes St Gardens). Lots of good nightlife very close (maybe too close, see later). Rooms fantastic, great furnishings and the highest quality shampoos etc ever experienced. Honesty bar a nice touch and a good continental... more

I have stayed there several times now, but each time I sleep so badly. It takes a while to change the room temperature. I stay in a standard room, so the room is not big. There are many gadgets which do not have much use for me, but which light in the dark, so I don't get the darkness I... more

Stayed in a delux suite of this hotel at the weekend and can say it had the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. The staff were first class and could not be faulted. One thing i would say is search for a discounted rate as i paid substantially less than the quoted rate of £450 for a saturday... more

Our review has just been down graded due to the fact that The Glasshouse does seem to pick and choose who gets upgraded and who doesn't ! We stayed at The Glasshouse for one night of luxury as it was a surprise for M'lady ( if you have stayed here, then you will understand ! ). We agree with the... more

Spent one night here as an anniversary treat and boy was it a treat! On checking in, we were given a free upgrade to one of the suites and escorted there by a very friendly member of staff. The room itself was wonderful with a huge balcony overlooking the city which allowed us to take advantage of the unseasonably mild... more

Stayed for 3 days....what a let down. Was really excited but what can i say. The only good thing about this place is the location. Very expensive..... no bar..... i woudnt call the 'HONESTY BAR' a bar. How can you have a bar with no barman? No atmosphere what so ever. As for the minibar what a rip off!!!!! There... more

We flew to Edinburgh for the Paul Potts concert at the Edinburgh Playhouse next door to this hotel and after a bit of research decided to stay at the Glasshouse. We considered a suite but opted for a regular room, as we were planning on spending little time in the hotel. The room was small but otherwise sensational--heated tile floors... more
