Lovely, Quiet Location but very close to the city Centre! Rooms Comfortable & Cosy. Staff were very Friendly & Helpful with lots of advice & Recommendations if needed. You are definitely made to make yourself at Home. Small Details such as Organic Oats, The Homemade Muesli, jams, always went down well with guests. The cooked breakfast offers a 'Archie Special'... more

There was shabby broken down furniture in the room and the window was stuck open - we had to get someone to close it. It stuck again the next day. No tea making facilities, and there was nowhere to hang your clothes as the wardrobe was not well designed. The cooked breakfast was very mediocre - the omlette was more... more

I stayed at this B&B a few years ago and really enjoyed my stay, but when I returned here while on a business trip recently I found the experience less pleasant. The Bouverie B&B is situated in the heart of the New Town, so the location is convenient and a short walk from the train station. It's a basement maisonette,... more

Stayed with husband for a romantic get-away. Had Primrose room for £40 each per night so shelled out £160 for two night stay. Not impressed with muck and poor standards generally. Clearly no one had vacuumed in months and no hot water for shower despite complaints so had to use disgusting shower across from room with mouldy sealant and damp... more

We stayed here in the Garden room for 2 nights. This was in the lowest floor of the townhouse and we had to take our luggage down two flights of curved, narrow steps. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was generous. It was also very quiet which was welcome after a long flight. Princes strret was a 10 minute... more

We stayed in this B&B in August 2007, during the Edinburgh Festival. Prices were high throughout the city, but this property was definitely overpriced for what it had to offer. We had asked for a double room with a double bed, but got two single beds instead. Requesting the reception girl to move the beds at least together, she responded... more

I arranged to stay here as it was close to a friends apartment in Edinburgh. Both my partner and I stayed in the Poppy room and my 18 year old daughter in the Garden room. The welcome and stay was perfect. There were no other guests and we had the huge guest kitchen to ourselves (in fact in the evening... more

This little B&B is run by Archie and his wife Cassie and its a beautiful old house close by to all the attractions in Edinburgh. With just a few rooms, real attention to detail has been paid and the beds are the comfiest I have ever slept in. Breakast takes place in their kitchen, round a huge wooden table and... more
