A friend and I stayed at Drumfin the first three nights we were in Scotland, after flying into Edinburgh Airport. Rosemary was a wonderful hostess. We had a bit of confusion (our fault, not Rosemary's) the day we arrived--gave the taxi driver the wrong address and then were stranded there after he drove away. Dumfins is a small home in a residential neighborhood. Unless you like dogs and very small rooms this is the place for you...if you can find it. The directions provided by the owner are almost incomprehensible. We had to stop and ask a local police officer and even he was not sure what was meant by her directions. But he... more
