Lovely house with good sized, well decorated rooms in the book writers' quarter of Edinburgh. No1 Ladies' Detective Agency, Hogwarts and Rebus authors live nearby. Well informed and kindly hostess and plenty of local places to eat out. A 15 minute walk or short bus ride to the centre of Edinburgh. Good breakfast. more
I can't understand the comments of the 'unsettled' visitor. This is the most beautiful family home in a lovely area, and the ethos is that guests are invited to share it. I was surprised that although a B&B in a private house, there were no locks on the room doors, a little unsettling for a female travelling alone. more
