This is a wonderful B & B about 20 minute walk (and right on the 23 bus line) from Edinburgh Castle in the Morningside area.

The hostess, Jill, was spectacular. Great advice on things to see and how to get there. Her breakfast included homemade jam, hot croissants, fruit (mixed fresh berries) and cooked eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. - the best feast we had in Scotland and we stayed at 6 different B & Bs while touring around the country. There were a huge assortment of toiletries available in the shower room for guests use, and a blow dryer, fresh fruit, tea, and cookies in our room. There was even a new packaged toothbrush in the room in case we forgot one.

Her garden (kept by her husband) is lovely and is large with a walled garden that keeps it quiet even though it is near a main road. Their dog, an elderly black Lab named Ben, has an uncanny ability to know when people want to see or pet him - and stays quietly sleeping under the table when people... more
