We had a really good short break. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. The rooms were pretty small and quite shabby...Toilet roll holder hanging off the wall...ground floor bathroom window wouldn't close (backing on to the car park too)...bedroom window wouldn't open...no bulb in bedside lamp...hairdryer not working...etc...etc . but it is very convenient to get to... more

The Murrayfield was our first hotel in a three week trip, booked through our travel agent. Old building so there's no lift/elevator, floors creak, thin walls and windows. Three friends and I stayed here and during our whole trip we could not remember one good customer service experience which is saying something as we were all male and i assure would not usually take notice of such things. I stayed there in Oct last year, and the heating wasnt working in the room, the night porter bled the radiator and assured me it would be ok in half an hour it wasn' but by that time it was too late to do anything about it so I just put up with it. Stayed ther again in March 09,... more

Clean, warm and comfortable. Very friendly, helpful staff. We stayed in the lodge which is a few doors down from the hotel. Breakfast is nice & gives you a good start to the day. A stones throw away from Murrayfield stadium which was great as we had gone up for the rugby. Would recommend and use again. more
