The folks at Priestville are very accommodating and very knowledgable about the city and how best to move about Edinburgh. The busline picks up one block from the B & B which was a very convenient way to get around. I highly recommend staying a little out of the main downtown area and using the buses to get around. The... more

This was the second stay in Priestville guest house. I think I am so lucky to choose such a nice guest house. Colin and Trina are really nice and wam and I feel like they are real my uncle and aunt. Rooms are so spacious and clean, and there are several options for breakfast. I had Scottish breakfast and salmon,... more

Our host Colin was warmand witty. He made great suggestions for our five night stay and was incredibly helpful in carrying out our plans. Our room was large and comfortable and the breakfasts were great. Bus travel into and around town was very user friendly. I will come back and stay here again. more

My wife and I, along with our two children (7 and 11 yrs. old) just just enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in Edinburgh staying at Priestville with Collin and Trina. What a pleasant experience we had! We stayed in a very large family room (#6) at the top of this lovely old Scottish manor. It was warm and cozy with... more

We were booked at Priestville Guest House after our original Bed & Breakfast booking had some last minute plumbing problems. This was not the quality of accommodation we were looking for, but were willing to compromise for one night. We were disappointed to find out that the heating was virtually non-existent in our room. In the shower there was no... more

We found this B & B in Rick Steve’s Guidebook and found it had mainly positive reviews on TA. We were very satisfied with it. We contacted the owner by e-mail. Colin is very prompt and efficient with his replies. We were given a small discount for booking 3 nights. The B & B is in a quiet residential area... more

Pros: Spacious family rooms Beautful moulding and ceilings Helpful host-- supplied maps and hints about attractions and walking. Good views (Also, look for the lady in the window in the first floor family room) Cons: Dusty and a little dirty Surprised by shared bathroom (website and emails did not make this clear; in fact, I was led to believe that... more

We stayed at Priestville for 3 nights. The house is lovely with lots of character. The room was comfortable and clean. The only problem with the room was the dip in the middle of the mattress. We appreciated the details like the video collection, hair dryers, etc. Colin and Trina were very nice hosts, offered lots of information and answered... more
