i stayed at glenerne in febuary 2004 during the rbs six nations rugby along with three friends we arrived in edinburgh with no accomodation booked and searched for accomodation everywhere we finally came to glenerne and knocked on the door and was greeted by teresa who not only had vacancies but the price was very competitive compared to her neighbours she invited us in and showed us a available room the room was very cosy and had a ensuite bathroom and toilet we took the room and stayed for 4 nights teresa also gave us a early morning call on the day before the game as she had heard on local radio that unsold match tickets were going on sale that morning this was our first visit in scotland and we all felt we landed on our feet when we found glenerne this guest house is warm and clean and the breakfast is a good start to the day i would have no issues with recomending or returning to glenerne thank you teresa and keep up the good work . mr l annett abertillery south wales more

Breakfast was enormous -- hearty, filling, delicious -- served on fine china. The garden was small and pretty. The owners were warm and helpful. But they do have their expectations. Please call them if you anticipate arriving after 6:00. Check out is prompt. They do not accept credit cards. There is a very friendly large dog on the premises... more
