After staying at several other B&B’s in Britain, I can say with certainty that Amar Agua Guest House is a cut above. Our room was very luxurious; the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent. Dawn Ann’s cooking is fabulous. Along with breakfast, Tony shared his thoughts on world issues, restaurants and food, and many sightseeing tips. I... more

We had a truly lovely stay here! Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. Their home is inviting and beautiful, and our room was plush and comfortable. Their location is about one and a half miles from The Royal Mile, and we decided to walk into the old part of town every day because it was so easy. (We could... more

We stayed for 4 nights to visit the fringe festival and it is the nicest place we have ever been and we have been to a few! The room was a double room which was adequate in size with a nice ensuite with power shower. Breakfast is between 8 am and 9 am and you select your menu choices the... more

Would recommend this anytime to anyone travelling to Edinburgh. The place is immaculately kept and the rooms are lovely. Dawn was very helpful in giving us all kinds of bus and driving instructions! The place is only a 10 minute bus ride from city centre, and there are regular buses. My only complaint: the internet was switched off at 11pm.... more

Here at AmarAgua customer care is our top priority and when offering our “complementary” WiFi to the guest we have become aware of a number of guests with medical conditions of which the WiFi signal exacerbates therefore we took the decision to switch off the system during the night in order that all our guests may have a restful night....

The breasfast was always delicious, hot and served by Tony with a smile and a good story. They both went above and beyond to exceed your expecpatations. they are outside the city center just... more

My wife and I stayed at AmarAgua recently when we visited Edinburgh to see the Tatoo. Dawn-Ann and Tony provide very comfortable and personal accomodation which benefits from lovely furniture and decorations. Our room was decorated to a high standard and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The Guest House is situated in a small street along which... more

Very short walk to bus stop and then a 10 minute ride to The Royal Mile. Our room which was on the top floor (no lift) was tastefully decorated with free internet access. Breakfasts were first class. Our hosts, Tony and Dawn-Anne were lovely and very knowledgeable. We left an item behind which they quickly posted back to us. Great... more

This is a great B&B. The location, room, breakfast, and rate cannot be beat. It is short bus ride from the street corner to the Old Edinburgh. There is a good pub just up the street. Good prices for food and beer. Great Place!!! more

This B & B is not in the heart of Edinburgh, but is an easy 10 minute bus ride into the city center -- buses run very frequently. Our hostess oriented us immediately upon arrival to the bus schedules -- the bus stop is a block away. The room was quite roomy and quiet, and the breakfasts were excellent. Much... more

Our 10-day visit to Edinburgh was enhanced by the hospitality of Dawn-Ann and Tony at AmarAgua Guest House. The property is conveniently located on major bus routes to downtown and to other attractions in the area. Rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. Breakfast is substantial and fresh, and takeaway meals are provided if you are leaving early on tours. The only... more
