I stayed here April 28-30(checking out May1), 2007. If you use Haymarket Station for your travel, Beresford Hotel is the place I recommend. A bit disappointing. Rude email exchange on reservation confirmation, extremely small rooms, booked 3 months ahead and still was put in the lower level basement with profunctory -" that is all we have." Ok location and walkable to most tourist attractions. Good for budget travellers. more

This place is very far from the Princess Street. The rooms are okie with neat bed. But there is nothing special about the facilities. THe breakfast menu is really bad with hardly any choice. I found the hotel right here and my son and I stayed there for 4 nights and it was the best place I have stayed in in Scotland: The room was big and VERY clean the people was very nice and the price was fantastic. Hope to come back more
