We stayed at Dalmore Lodge last month and were very impressed with the B&B. Very, very clean, great breakfast provided by Iain every morning. Room was bright, and comfortable. I think all the rooms are en-suite now and that quite a lot of refurbishment has been done since Iain and Dot bought the place. Iain and Dot were also helpful... more

This B&B started out as a real place from hell. The address is Downie Terrace, but this name is only for 1 block on a very long street that actually changes names quite a few times! I had advised we would be there around 4pm; we arrived at 3pm to a locked door and had to wait 1/2 hr for... more

We were at Dalmore Lodge for three days. Our room was spacious and clean--very plesant overall. Scottish breakfasts were made to order. Convenient bus service either into the city or to the airport. Considerate attention from the owners. more

This is a fabulous place...nicely refurbished, great style, lovely bathroom, terrific breakfast. And the host, Iain, was especially nice and helpful. They were very accommodating and as nice as they could be. Their location is on the main route between the airport and the city centre, and it's very easy to get a bus (~14 minutes on the Airport Bus)... more

After spending hours and hours looking found this. The price was brilliant value for mney. Although out of town it was dead opoosite the zoo so so so easy for buses every ten mins and very easy for taxi after a few drinkies!! Only negative we had the gorgeous downstairs room with terrace bit you did get kitcken noise. Also... more

We stayed here for one night as we were going to watch Edinburgh play rugby. We didn't spend much time in the room, it was just a place to sleep really. The location was great for Murrayfield and across the road from Edinburgh Zoo. Only about 10 mins bus ride into city. The owners seem to have recently decorated through-out.... more

this place was great. although it is NOT within the city centre, it is still a great place to stay for one night. my husband and i needed one night close to the airport but close to the city as well. ths place was perfect for that. the room was sparkling clean and great victorian decor. comfy bed, clean sheets... more
