Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Most of the staff were very helpful and kind but we booked the meal deal and had our table for 8pm. However, our meals did not arrive until 9pm, the curry was very watery and the pizzas ordered were very thin. We ordered puddings which took another 20-25 minutes to come. When I asked about the desserts I was rudely told "my colleague is dealing with it". The hotel room was nice and cosy but the pillows were very hard and the duvet wasn't put in the duvet cover properly.

The premier Inn was great base to explore Edinburgh. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good with plenty of options for both adults and children. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great welcome. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of most major attractions. We used the bar in the evening and had breakfast, which was great - plenty of choice and all you can eat. Only one issue, the bottle bank was emptied at about 5.30 in the morning.

Perfectly decent hotel near business district. Self service breakfast sufficient for cooked and continental options and good room size, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. No complaints. Easy check out options. Early breakfast from 6:30 available.

Spent a few days at this Premier Inn and used their breakfast/dinner offer for £24.99 a day. Spacious room, comfortable bed, friendly staff and delicious food. We really enjoyed our stay in such a beautiful city.

The room was left in an unacceptable and unhygienic state. The toilet was not flushed (a yellow brown colour remained), there was hair in the shower, a stale odour in the bedroom, and an excessive amount of dust on our bedside tables and other surfaces. One of the windows did not shut properly, which resulted in poor soundproofing with the noise of the traffic. This Premier Inn hotel was the worst of many I have been to. It was very disappointing and I do not recommend this hotel.

Told when checked in that we could just walk in for breakfast, that was not the case as we were turned away and member of staff very unhelpful, went to reception to complain to a member of staff who said they would get someone to speak to us over 30 minutes we waited as they all hid in the back off

3 couples on night out in Edinburgh to take in a show .Check in no problem .On checking in we enquired if we needed to book breakfast. We were told no need just come down in the morning. On arrival for breakfast were told we should have booked breakfast. Told them we were told it wasn't necessary. Said they could not help us out .Went to reception to complain. The lady on reception said hold on and disappeared into a staff room still left there after 20 minutes..No update help or nothing. Total ignorance on behalf of what staff was . Have used premier often over years but not again. Help No. Apologies none Total ignorance on the staff's behalf This not how you treat public in this day and age.

Good location, comfortable beds, reasonable price. Had a good night's sleep. Only downside was breakfast, queued for at least 15 minutes and had to keep asking for things to be topped up and the 2 members of staff were also running front desk
