This was our first stay at the Aaran Lodge and and I'd go back in a heartbeat. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. The owners exceptionally friendly and helpful. We showed up unexpectedly early and they were happy to accommodate us. Breakfast is filling, delicious with lots to choose from. Theresa Tod and her husband were full of tips... more

My wife and I found this Guest House to be the best of all the places we stayed in during our 6 week trip through Scotland, England, France and Italy. The proprietor, Theresa, was very friendly and informative. The family room was spacious and the decor delightful. It's location on the bus route to Edinburgh is a definite advantage to... more

My husband and I spent our 2nd anniversary at the Guest House and were very impressed with the standard of entire house. It far exceeds the quality of any hotel at that price. Theresa was very hospitable and it made our stay all the more enjoyable. There is a lovely beach and promenade 5 mins walk from the guest house... more

My husband and I stayed two nights at Aaran Lodge. The house is lovely and well kept, but we felt we overpaid for what we recieved (110 pounds per night plus 3% charge for using a credit card). It is a good 20 minute (or more) bus ride outside of Edinburgh city center and there are no shops or restaurants... more

Good B&B, located 20 minutes by bus from the city centre. Owner a little bit boring, insisting too much we had dinner in the B&B, but this was not an option having the 20 minutes travel. Good breakfast though, and nice common area where we could relax after our E'burgh visit. more

The rooms were of a very high standard and Theresa and her staff were very obliging in every way. the breakfasts were delightful and very hearty indeed. Although not near the centre the bus was very... more

This beautifully decorated B&B is located outside of Edinburgh city center, on A1, and in mixed residential/ commercial center (car/bus always necessary). Georgeous interior decoration. Unfortunately, staff is not efficient. The intern and manager engage into long sequences of statements and excuses about how busy they are ..., a bit of a bother. Restricted breakfast (by quallity and one has... more

There are no words to describe how great this place is . Teresa was fantastic, and the personal service is 5 star. We stayed 11days and it was the best place on our entire month long vacation, and when we left it felt that we were leaving family. Thanks to Teresa for making us feel so comfortable and at home,... more

Arrived earlier than predicted but was welcomed and guided to our room by Teresa. The room was very well finished and furnished to a high standard. We received advice on the bus service to and from the city centre which was approx. 20 mins away and £1.20 pp. The bus stop to the city centre is 20metres away and the... more
