I agree with everybodies comments on this site. I dare you find another b&b like this anywhere in Britain! Excellent value for money. A little gem with Mike and Ann as wonderful hosts. Mike will try and fill you up every morning with a hearty breakfast of local produce and more toast than you could possibly eat in one sitting.... more

We were amazed by Mike and Ann Walsh's B&B, their hospitality and service. This couple genuinely enjoy taking care of others. Amiable hosts, very helpful. Very nice and spacious en-suite room, very clean. Several books and files with information about sights and restaurants in the room. Quiet location, nevertheless only 15-20 minutes walk (slow-moving) to Royal Mile resp. Princess Street. We've now stayed a couple of times with Mike & Anne, both for rugby weekends. They are a most hospitable couple, with nothing too much trouble. They seem to take a real pride in providing breakfast, with lots of variety. Rooms are well-equipped, and its such an easy walk into edinburgh. more

We can't recommend this b&b highly enough. It is in a pretty and quiet location within walking distance of all the Edinburgh sights. The room we had was enormous with a good bathroom and the comfiest bed. The breakfast is fabulous - healthy, hearty and delicious. Mike and Ann couldn't have done more to make us feel comfortable. more
