I stayed at Kenvie Guest House my last three nights in Scotland. I was on holiday with my nephew. The house was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was perfect every morning. It was on a quiet side street not far from the Royal Mile. If I ever get back to Edinburgh I wuld most definately stay there again. more

The Kenvie Guest House is run by a pleasant, informative woman who clearly takes pride in her service. The rooms, although small by US standards, were average by UK standards. The beds were very comfortable, and since the street that the Kenvie Guest House is on is so quiet at night, we slept long and hard. Breakfast was very good,... more

My best friend and I took a three week trip around the UK last summer, so see the Harry Potter release and just generally have a good time. This place was one of the best parts of our stay.... great host, wonderful breakfast each morning, and it was actually walk-able to town. We had such a nice time, and it... more

My fiance (now my wife) and I were looking for a b&b to start our honeymoon adventure in Edinburgh. Throughout our 2 week stay in Scotland we boarded at the Kenvie guest house, a few hostels, and a big fancy modern hotel for one night. The Kenvie house was easily the best value and overall our favorite accommodation. Breakfast was... more

Just back from a trip through Scotland and stayed at the Kenvie after a recommendation from friends. Having been in so many bed and breakfasts, guest houses and hotels in the past month I felt that this was one that stood out for sheer friendliness and service. We arrived later than expected but were still greeted warmly by the owners,... more

The Kenvie Guest House was a decent stay, and a very good value during the Hogmanay holiday. We had a twin room which was a double and a twin and had a TV, sink, a couple of chairs and a small wardrobe. We had a shared bath which was fine, no problem with overcrowding. I only felt bad using the... more

We found this B&B through Rick Steve's Best of Europe guide. We found this place at the last "minute" as our other B&B we reserved with fell through. We have to say that we thought the place was average. Our room was small, nothing fancy by any means but adequate bathroom and we weren't here that much. Our host Dorothy... more

Situated almost a stone’s throw from Arthur’s Seat, Kenvie House is a charming getaway from the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh. Located only one block off Dalkeith Road, you can easily reach Princes Street in a few minutes on a variety of different buses and several excellent pubs and restaurants that are relatively easy on the budget are a very... more
