We stayed at the royal overseas hotel for my 50th birthday. It was a perfect base for sightseeing. We were lucky enough to have the Pentland suite, it was very clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of the castle. The breakfast was exceptional with a variable choice. The staff are very freindly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again. more

This is a club rather than a hotel. That said it is open to the public. The location is tremendous - the view from the breakfast room is first class looking straight up to the Castle.

The rooms corridors etc are small and simply furnished in a 1950's style - well actually they may have been furnished last in the 1950's!

Still homely clean and tidy.

I enjoyed my stay.
