Fantastic place to stay ! We stayed at Windsor House (the sister guesthouse) and it was great. Lovely big room, comfortable beds and a little ensuite with a really good shower. I booked this without checking for reviews & was worried it could be a hole as it was the cheapest place i could find centrally for what i was looking for... but it was fantastic - clean, basic double room with en suite shower - very nice walk in shower. Tv wasn't tuned but wasn't in Edinburgh to watch TV.... more

The Lantern House offers great value just 5 minutes away from Waverley station. You're within easy reach for all the sights, the local theatre and lots of restaurants which are all very nice.
