This review is not about the hotel as such but is about the restaurant. I was with 3 friends who had lunch at the hotel on a Saturday in June and I must say we were all very disapointed with the quality of the food. I had chicken with a creamy mustard sauce which was dry & tasteless, another had steak pie which was basically a bland beef stew with a separately cooked pie crust thrown on top(very lazy) . I also tried the salad bar which offered very limited choice and was also not particularly fresh. The desserts were of the standard freezer-based variety. While the staff were very friendly, the hotel itself nice inside and pleasantly located, in my opinion it is let down big-time by the kitchen. more
