What a delightful place Montague House is! From the moment we set foot inside the door, we were warmly welcomed. The house had a small dining and sitting area, which offered teas, coffees and hot chocolate, as well as a selection of biscuits – a lovely touch after a brisk walk on the beach!

The bedroom we stayed in was at the back of the house overlooking a pleasant garden. It was a decent size and nicely furnished with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, a large flat screen TV with Sky and a massive bathroom with complimentary hand wash and moisturiser from a local stockist.

The breakfast was to die for! A vast choice was on hand which you had to select on a slip of paper the night before. The full Scottish Breakfast with haggis was on offer, as well as French toast, free range scrambled eggs, fruit, continental breakfast, omelettes or just about any combination of these as you wanted. The owners, Andrew and Gillian were more than accommodating.
