I have stayed at the Bell Craig on numerous occasions since the early 90's. It did go through a rough patch during the time that the facility was leased out to a single proprietor. had the most wonderfull time at bell craig, made to feel right at home, clean and homley, great breakfast, clean room, and fresh towels every day.
We stayed for 1 night, after calling in on spec. Our room was fantastic, the bath was super, all in all great place to stay! Never got the breakfast tho as bed so comfy we slept in :-* more
i was really looking forward to my time in st andrews, the town is great, the golf wonderful, but the bell craig guest house is not really up to date i know the buildings are old but you should at least have some modern comforts when you get inside, we were in room 4 a very small room indeed, very... more
i am the original owner of the bellcraig and have recently taken it back over after having it leased out for the past eight years the guest house has been refurbished and a warm welcome awaits you. sheila
I stayed at the Bellcraig April 28th and played the Old Course on the 29th. Worth the experience to do it at least once. Bellcraig is really close less than 2 minutes to Old Course. The room was comfy and the breakfast she brought out what seemed like 3 eggs worth of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast etc. All really good.... more
Great Scottish hospitality and breakfast! New owners are great, lovely people and very informative of local surroundings. Would visit again and recommend to friends going North of the Border! more
Having stayed at the bell craig guest house in november 2002 and having stayed there again in november 2004, i am not sure how i find the new owners. she seems quite pleasent , but she also seems to be proccupied with other things to worry about other than the guests. myself and my wife had to complain about body... more
To the reviewer concerned about the "new" management...NOT to worry! This place is a true FIND! The couple now managing are friends of the owner and have taken over after the previous management left the place in disrepair.
