Pleasant, clean and convenient hotel which provided everything we needed. Nicely refurbished bar and lobby area, bedrooms similarly tastefully decorated and warm. Free parking with plenty of space and free Wi-Fi in all areas. Close to west end for all museums and plenty of restaurants on nearby Byers Road. It won't be the best hotel you stay in, there is... more

Work booked me in here and as others have said, it is nothing to look at on the outside. I dithered between giving this a four or a five, but then felt generous because: * the receptionist was friendly and welcoming and allocated me a quiet room on the third floor. * I had arrived late and was tired. The... more

I stayed there with my partner a week-end in December. The corridors looked a bit grubby with a dirty stained carpet. But the room was clean. I liked the bathroom which had a nice white bath tub. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and didn't enjoy it much, the food was below average. Overall the hotel was fine... more

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly. A bit noisy at night (loud music heard even on third floor). Somewhat off hand at breakfast, but problems really. more

We spent the weekend here to do some retail therapy. Booked direct with the hotel and spoke to Tracey, who was very helpful. Checked in with Monika (i'm sure this was her name, she was a friendly girl from Holland.) and went to our room on the 3rd floor which was completely non smoking. Free wifi was on offer and... more

My partner and I stayed at the Pond hotel for one night on a visit to Glasgow to see a concert at the SECC. Taxi's from the Airport are £16 but the hotel is serviced by buses from the City centre (connections to the airport are also available). A taxi to the SECC is £6 which I thought represented very... more

Stayed Nov 07 for one night. Hotel doesn't look much from outside and there was work being done on car park area, but inside was really nice. Check-in was quick and we got room on 1st floor looking out over car park onto Bingham Pond which was nice. Room was modern and looked newly refurbished, with a great large LCD... more

Just stayed here for 3 nights. As all the other reviewers have pointed out the hotel doesn’t look great from the outside, however inside it was obvious that it had been redecorated. The rooms were clean and of a good size. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good (we did not eat in the evening, however the restaurant... more

Don't be put off by the miserable exterior, very nice inside. Very clean and comfortable room, biscuits with the coffee would have been a nice touch. Shame the hotel is next to a hospital though- be prepared for the sirens! A room higher than the one I had on the first floor would be a good idea too, lots of... more

Wasn't put off by ugly building as other reviewers had pointed out it was good inside but whatever the decor, excrement on the toilet seat is not acceptable. It was also very noisy - wedding reception being held and very loud music went on until very late. Not a pleasant stay. more
