Having been keen to try Abode in Glasgow with my husband and sample Michael Caines food, it was with extreme diappointment that 3 telephone calls to the hotel failed to secure a booking. On each occasion I was advised to call back as the 'Christmas Co-ordinator' was not in and no-one seemed to be able to take a booking for... more

i have stayed here 3-4 times and this really is a great hotel! The building itself is stunning and the rooms are well equipped. The last time I stayed I had a card in my room from the manager welcoming me back and the reception team upgraded me to a suite and its these personal touches that set this hotel... more

We booked this as part of dinner bed and breakfast package. I looked over the website and seen that they have 4 categories of rooms, Comfortable, Desirable, Enviable and Luxurious. So we decided to upgrade to the Enviable room. I am puzzled to what exactly is enviable about this room, albeit the room itself is large, however everything else in... more

We stayed here for one night a couple of weeks ago, the hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly but that's really the only good things I have to say about this. The hotel is run down and is looking old, it needs a revamp. Although our room was quite big, there were a few things... more

Old building that has not been particularly well-maintained but with lots of potential. I do mean LOTS OF POTENTIAL. Old-style lift, lots of old tiles and architecture. HOWEVER! Dirty carpets everywhere, including room. Cracked tiles, ancient but mostly adequate plumbing and obvious minimal renovations. I was very disappointed here. Room is adequate, but by no means inspiring. Double-sized platform bed;... more

We got a cheap deal for this hotel at the last minute, paid £89 for b&b on Laterooms. We stayed 1 night, and did check Trip Advisor prior. We were concerned about some of the bad reviews, but decided for 1 night it would be ok. I'd have to agree with most of the negatives that other people have written.... more

Was fortunate to be suprised by close friends with trip to Abode to celebrate a significant birthday. The staff were very friendly and helpful and no request was too mcuh trouble. The only thing I would caution is that Bath St is a very busy city-centre street with a number of late night bars in the vicinity, so noise levels... more
