In July of this year my husband and I were privileged to stay at the Uplawmoor Inn in Scotland. This was a most auspicious occasion for both of us as it was our wedding. Our family from Spain, Germany and England came and stayed at the Hotel with us and none of us have been better taken care of in... more

A good little hotel thats handy for the south of Glasgow but far enough out to avaiod the hustle and bustle of city living. The food is good and the staff friendly and helpful. The menu is interesting and varied and all freshly prepared. A sign of a good eatery is the nukmber of locals who use both the bar... more

I travel around the country as an IT consultant frequently and stay in all sorts of hotels - from the 5 star glamour hotels in London to little B&B's. However, I have never come across such a charming hotel as Uplawmoor and can heap nothing but praise on them. The hotel staff are first class. Warm, friendly, helpful and go... more

We had a mini break in November'06 at The Uplawmoor Hotel, and it was great. We were rather late checking in, but the staff were very kind, helpful and nothing was too much trouble, as we found for the rest of our stay. The bedroom was comfortable, but in need of some re-decoration, but this was far outweighed by the... more

We had a short break in November 2006 at this hotel, which is set in the lovely countryside on the Renfrew/Ayrshire border.Although we arrived late in the evening,we were able to get a cooked meal. The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable, but in need of some refurbishment. We had breakfasts so filling... more

A very comfortable hotel set in a quiet village far from busy roads. Some of the rooms have just been refurbished to a superior standard, with the remainder to be updated on a rolling program. I have stayed in both ordinary & superior rooms and both are of excellent standard Food is good quality & quantity, in both the Restaurant... more

Contrary to an earlier comment I have stayed in more or less every room at the Uplawmoor Hotel & NEVER found mould or experienced a cold one. It is a spotless 1st class establishment. I have certain standards & have found this hotel to be on par with the top ones double the price. Having tried quite a few all... more

Stayed for one transit night only, based on search via tourist board brochure and an opinion in tripadvisor. Don't think would use it again: not possible to book a conveniently timed dinner in the recommended restaurant as fully pre-booked for a touring coach party. Instead, ate in the "pub" which was a bit ordinary and emphasis on heavy Scottish foods,... more

I stay at the Uplawmoor Hotel on business for about 4 or 5 nights per month. Due to the location of my business, I have little choice of where to stay which is why I chose this hotel. The hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere, the nearest major town being Barhead, which is about five miles away; however,... more

Although it is true that the staff is wonderful and the food is good it is not worth the high price considering that you could stay right in Glasgow for a lot less..This place is about 15 miles from Glasgow. The room was VERY VERY COLD. The shower handles were hard to work and worst of it all the bathroom... more
