Despite it low prize and the location, this place is not to be recommended. The concept - small, design rooms for a low prize - is good, but the problem is that this place has not been cleaned nor has it had much maintenance ever since it opened. Plus it is clearly not a design hotel. It was more of... more

Had a very good experience when we stayed at the Brunswick in the heart of Market City in the refurbished old part of Glasgow. The hotel is squeezed next to a funky bar and has some of the weirdest color schemes you could imagine. The rooms could be faulted for tending to be too warm and were not big but... more

The huge plus of this fine hotel is its value for money. At only £50 for the night you get a small but comfortable room in an excellent location, a contintental breakfast, and even a free dram of whiskey in their excellent bar. A perfect start to our week in Scotland and a great springboard to Loch Lomond and beyond! more

We stayed at The Brunswick for one night and it was perfectly adequate for our stay. The room was not luxurious, but was large enough and clean. The ensuite bathroom was also large enough and clean although I never did find a fan for ventilation and as a result the steam repeatedly set off the fire alarm in our room... more

We stayed at the Brunswick for two nights and what a fantastic hotel it was. Our room was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully decorated; there was no problem with noise whatsover! The hotel bar/ restaurant was fantastic. In our experience it's rare for us to want to hang out in ahotel bar but this place was just great. We ate there... more

This is the 6th time I have stayed at The Brunswick, I would not stay anywhere else. You are greeted as if you are long lost friends and made so welcome, nothing is any trouble for any of the staff and Michael (Mr Johnson) and Stephen are lush. It is also so central for shops, restaurants and nightlife, although the... more

This hotel has great location, and service is brilliant. The thing is, I didnt feel comfortable here. The room was big with sofa etc but with the colors and layout I felt uneasy and mildly claustrophibic. I guess an argument against this would be - it just wasnt my particular style, but may be for someone else. The room was... more

We stayed at the Brunswick hotel for only one night in order to attend a family reunion going on in that part of the city. There is a lack of hotels in the Merchant City area, so there isn’t a lot of competition and the Brunswick has probably survived because of this. The location really is the only selling point.... more

My friends and I stayed here the weekend of the Take That concert and found it to be a little gem! Only a few minutes walk from Queen St station and George Square, we were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist (sorry can't remember her name!) and checked in earlier than our stated time with no problem. We had 2... more

We used Brunswick Hotel as a base for 5 nights in Glasgow and then to take several day-trips into other areas of Scotland. Simply great location, within 4 blocks to Train and Bus stations, Visitors Center, and main shopping ares of Glasgow. Simply outstanding staff personnel and service. Rooms on small side but clean and very comfortable overall. Have a... more
