Previous reviews have noted the noise from the nearby night club. Go prepared and use ear plugs - latest silicon ones from Boots. Ask for a ground floor room if you have mobility problems. We had a large, spacious room up the tower staircase for £40 each B&B which is good value for such a central location. The hotel is... more

This place is a bargain. I've stayed at much nastier places for more money in Glasgow. The room wasn't bad, bathroom was a bit worn out and it could have done with a bedside lamp, but it wasn't bad. Breakfast was ok, had better, had worse. I booked this hotel for the night before a very important post-grad exam, expecting... more

I staeyed here for 5 nights in September 2009. Although travelling alone I was given a nice double room with a large en-suite bathroom - just the ticket for relaxing after a day's sightseeing. The room was spacious, clean and tidy, although hanging space was limited. Access was up a spiral staircase so anyone with mobility problems would be advised... more

I was looking for one thing from the hotel room, somewhere to sleep after a gig. And that was where the problem started. Our room was across from a night club and it had a late licence. Now whilst I expect some noise, to be hearing the on street conversation , rows, singing etc etc onto 4am it was very... more

Bed comfortable, en-suite very clean and updated. All in all a very pleasant atmospheric hotel near Argyle Street. Breakfast first class. Would definitely return. Lady at the desk (unfortunately I did not get her name) very kindly offered me tea while I was reading the paper. more

Myself and my parnter stayed one night in this self rated 3 star hotel. We paid only £50 which included breakfast, this was through Laterooms.com. The hotel isn't of 3 star standard, perhaps 2 star at a push. But the room was ok for a night, could do with being a little bit cleaner though. The ensuite had a very... more

The hotel was in a convenient position and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was great, but like another reviewer, our room was on the ground floor and facing a club! The Thursday night was not too bad but the Friday night was really noisy! It would probably be fine if you were someone who wanted to go... more

I arrived late at night at the hotel without any booking. I was looking forward to a night in a hotel after spending 2 weeks in hostels. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. There I was, just arrived in Glasgow, getting dark outside and no place to stay... Barry, the guy at the reception was really helpfull, he looked on... more
