Stayed at the Menzies twice in 3 months, first visit with 5 friends second time a spur of the moment trip away with my mum. Both trips have been excellent. The hotel is very clean and kept to a high standard. All the staff are very friendly, special mention to the bar staff. We arrived in the bar at 2125... more

Ok, it's a 4 star hotel and to be fair, the food was good. Our experience, however, was spoiled by officious and unfriendly staff. When I arrived with my young daughter we weren't allowed entry into our room because I didn't have a pin number for my credit card. No attempt to resolve the matter - we had to wait... more

My boyfriend and I are just back from a 2 night stay at the Menzies and we'll certainly be back. I don't usually post on websites like this unless I have had a particularly bad - or good - experience. I have had a lot of bad experiences lately (I stay in hotels fairly regularly through work) so it makes... more

We stayed for 2 nights at the Menzies in Glasgow, taking the plunge in Glasgow instead of Edinburgh an occasional weekend retreat. Having followed the advice of an earlier review we found the cheapest rate was with flybe.com The hotel is about 5 minutes walk along a wide and fairly busy road to the Central station and start of the... more

This week I stayed at this hotel for what should have been the whole week but due to the unforeseen nature of my business unfortunately my stay lasted only three nights. I must say that I was very impressed indeed at the overall standards I found at this hotel . Everyone from the reception staff to the cleaners who cleaned... more

Booked an overnight for me and my wife as we were attending a party in town and got the kids watched for the night :-) Service/Price/Breakfast/Cleanliness were all 10/10. Would most certainly stay here again. The only gripe would be the location isn't the best being in Anderston but the HiltonMarriot are in the same boat with the area. This... more

This is my second stay in a few months...and i will keep coming back!.Why? Because the management run a very efficient and welcoming hotel and so this becomes exceptionally great value for money. Staff are always helpful and have time to talk to you. The reception area draws you in with plenty of seating which extends into a ittle bar... more

We visit Glasgow every January for the Celtic Connections festival and have stayed in several hotels in the city. This was the best - good value, efficient and friendly staff, great leisure centre, excellent clean quiet room. Didn't eat in the restaurant this time. more

We stayed on the second floor overlooking probably one of the busiest roads in Glasgow. You could not hear vehicles unless you put your ear to the glass! - very peaceful despite it's central location. The room was large, well equipped, clean, with a comfortable large bed. The pool area was very clean, looked brand new. The food was stunning,... more

We have just returned from a two day stay at the Menzies Hotel in Glasgow, wished we could have stayed longer. We had a lovely clean room with a big comfortable bed. We stayed on a Dinner Bed and Breakfast basis, the breakfast was an average hotel breakfast, the dinner was absolutely fantastic and the service in the dining room... more
