My husband and i and two other couples stayed in the hotell for four nights.We did not have very high expectations,but got suprised by evrything.Nice and clean,very friendly staff. short way to shopping,central station,restaurants .... Nice warm breakfast every day. cheap. We cant say anything bad abot this stay.Super!! We will absolutely stay there again. more

was on a work vacation with clients the rooms were spacious clean and the breakfast was nice, check out was rather early staff were happy and helpfull will visit again more

Seems as the years has made it's marks but it was clean and nice. Had to leave early so we could not enjoy the breakfast. Personel was friendly and service minded. The elevator seemed to need a service though. Overall it was worth the cost. more

Me and 7 other friends had a weekend away and after reading some of the reviews I was a bit worried about having already booked into here. I should not have however ! Have just returned from sixth or seventh stay at this hotel and as always found it to be perfectly comfortable and clean! I do not know what people find to complain about this hotel. Lets face it you pay less than £50 (internet prices) for two people bed and a very acceptable breakfast what the hell do people expect the... more

We stayed a couple of nights at the Alexander Thomson, specifically to attend a Coldplay cencert at Hampden Park. Reception and breakfast staff were pleasant and efficient. Having read many poor reviews before our visit we were rather apprehensive but our experience exceeded our expectations! Its amazing how many reviewers expect 5* service at 2* prices. The main tip here is to ensure that you get a refurbished room. Ours was on the 4th floor and our very adequate double room was clean and well serviced daily.... more
