Looking through some of the latest reviews of this place it looks like some of the 5star reviews have been written staff friends and family - 5* it aint. Neither though is it the 1* someone gave it. Its definately better than average but I'm not sure it deserves 'very good'. On the plus side the decor certainly makes an... more

Stayed at this hotel to go and see "The Eagles" in concert, perfect for what we wanted. City centre, clean and easy to find with parking at the nearby Buchannan Galleries at a reduced rate. Will definately use again. more

My sister and I stayed here when we went to the Take That concert. I booked the hotel back in October at the same time as I booked the concert tickets on the recommendation of a friend from Glasgow. I booked it on the internet but not directly with the hotel, I can't actually remember who the booking was through... more

I travelled down with 4 other friends for the weekend for the Take That concert. We had a fantastic time and had a really good stay at the Marks Hotel. The General Manager Donald was one of the most friendliest, intentative Managers that I have ever met. Nothing was to much trouble for him and his main aim was paramount... more

We had a wonderfull stay at the Marks hotel. It was very clean & the staff made us very welcome. Breakfast was fab the catering was great. The manager Mr Innes is a credit to the hotel, he has a wonderful team of workers, no need for us to look else where when we stay in Glagow. more

Just came back from a girly weekend, this hotel was great value for money considering there was 3 of us in the one room. 5 minutes walk from the shops and 10 to the decent pubs. Would definitley recommend this hotel. more

I stayed in Mark's hotel in mid-May. The hotel was clean, quiet and properly maintained. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. The hotel was excellent. The only thing that let the whole thing down was the reception. It was noticeable that the non-Glaswegian staff were less than friendly. In a city where everyone seemed to be... more

Having had a cancelled flight (hence cancelled weekend away) decided to book a local hotel. Checked-out lastminute.com and booked with their 'Top Secret' scheme - no hotel name given until you have completed the sale, but you are guaranteed certain criteria. In this case, City Centre, 4 Star, boutique. We were offered a fantastic rate of £60 per night and... more

We found the hotel just as it appeared on the web site, lovely, easy to find after the bus drop from the airport, everyone very helpful and friendly, we had a lovely view overlooking Glasgow, surprislingly quite for a city, we could'nt of wished for a better location for the theatre, and bars/restaurents and a wonderful tea room near by.... more

I googled 'boutique hotel glasgow' and Marks came up. The website looked plausible, and (in more of a rush than I usually do these things) I booked for one night. Boutique hotels are all about style and detail; sadly Marks is the old Bewleys with recently-added dark carpets, costly wallpaper, and purple curtains. The furniture, bathrooms, lifts, doors, skirting boards,... more
