Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Would not recomend this hotel. It was basic but the tiles in bathroom very unsafe everything you walked they moved. Rust all around Bath. Not suitable for disabled. Window would not close. We wasn't dear for our two night stay it was a good job. Plenty drawer space but no wardrobe. Would not use again it is cheap and cheerful.

Stayed in many different hotels in Glasgow but honestly can’t complain with this hotel … very friendly guy on reception… room was decent enough for what we wanted clean and tidy…. Continual breakfast which was nice plenty of tea and coffee offered……

The location of the hotel is its best asset, being so close to central station and the venue we were attending. Check in and out was simple and great that you don't need to check out till 12pm. The rooms are in need of updating, although clean enough they do look very tired. We had room at back of property so it was quiet. The fact that a lot of reviews have mentioned there was only access to 2 TV channels and nothing has been done about it just tells you the kind of place this is...but it is very cheap to stay here.

Visited the bar along with a group of friends for a drink this afternoon. Reallly disappointed in the service , an inexperienced bar member who hadn’t a clue . I blame the management as they should make sure that staff are trained before allowing to serve. We were given the wrong drink and when pointed this out we’re more or less told tough and we had to pay for a replacement. On previous visits the staff were excellent but sadly this was not the case today. Gave feedback when leaving no apology offered. Won’t be back.

A lovely little hotel just across the road from Glasgow Central Station. Room clean and comfortable with a bathroom well stocked with towels. Continental breakfast was fresh and lots to choose from. Most importantly the staff were welcoming and friendly. It's a bit noisy as close to the road but a warm and comfortable bed made up for that. Knocked one star off as there was no remote for the TV but decent wi-fi made up for that.

The rooms I stayed in had no heating and only a heater to use and used my card to pay for drinks at bar. Then I notice my card had been cloned so was not happy as only placed I used card. So be careful.

Pros: good location in old town for pubs and restaurants. Next door was an Italian restaurant that had great food and decor. The lobby/bar was very nice. Staff were super friendly. Room had a kettle with tea and instant coffee. There was a pay parking lot two or three blocks away at the train station. Breakfast coffee was excellent. Continental breakfast only. CONS: tiny room with twin beds (all that was available) Room was quite dated with worn out carpets. Tiny bathroom.

Hotel location was good, opposite the train station. Inside the hotel was not so great, the elevator felt like it was about to collapse. The room was not clean, the carpet had stains all over it, the duvet had a hole in it, the carpet was pretty much just thread. The bathroom, the only thing clean was the toilet, the bath was rusting along with the sink and mirror. We only stayed for a bed to sleep in for two nights, if any longer I would of not stayed. Staff were nice to us at all times. But I would not recommend to stay here. I didn’t take photos as when we were checking out I just wanted to leave.

Not the best! Although the check-in was fine and courteous it’s probably the worst place I’ve stayed in years. The facilities are in much need of some updating. The TV only got 2 channels. Carpets thin and old. No curtains, just bent office style blinds. Was like a bad student room. It was cheap, but not even worth what I paid.

The hotel is well situated for the city centre. The staff were helpful but sadly the rooms are in need of a makeover. The bathroom was particularly poor, tiles on the floor were loose and dangerous . It was not well maintained. The bed was comfortable though and quiet at night . i was happy only to stay for one night
