I originally booked a single room online in error. It was on the 4th floor. The ceiling was so low I couldn't stand upright in one half of the room. I paid extra to be moved. In the next room the TV didn't work. I phond reception and was told there was a problem with the TV's in all the...

This is a great hotel opposite Central Station in Glasgow and perhaps not on the best of streets but it is absolutely grand if you are looking for cheap accommodation that is clean and central. We had a really clean basic room with everything you need including a hair dryer etc. We checked in and the lady on the desk...

Stayed here midweek at the end of November 2011. Paid £49 for double room. The hotel is actually right across the street from Glasgow Central station so the location is excellent. They have a car parking deal with the Q Park on Wellington Street - £7 for 24 hours.

I had been told to avoid the Central station area, and was only answered with shrugged shoulders when I asked about Artto. Maybe having stepped into the lobby with lowered expectations, I ended up having quite a nice time there.
It certainly didn't hurt that my room was gigantic, and my bed could have comfortably fit a family of four!...

Positives:
Location - 30 seconds walk from Glasgow Central train station. Perfect.
Price: was only £55 per night without breakfast.
Negatives:
Room - the room was tiny. I was in room 105 and the door hit the bed when I entered the room! Everything else was VERY cramped. The bed was also far too firm/hard for my liking.
Smell: there...
