We were going for an anniversary meal in the West End and had booked this hotel for bed and breakfast. It was a bit hard to find the carpark as its located behind the terraced townhouses and means driving through a maze of one way streets, but we were made very welcome by Margaret and another lady who guided us... more

Lovely place. Our room was downstairs, very modern en suite. Very nice, tiny but to be expected in big cities. Margaret even came outside to 'guide us' to the hotel because we were driving around Glasgow unsure of where it was. Margaret was very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was fantastic, a buffet of traditional Scottish foods plus other treats. Would... more

This hotel has a great location, handy for the west end and good access to the tube for the city centre. What they didn't tell us when we checked in for a stag do was the building work out the back. Saturday and Sunday it started at about 8.30am. We complained about the noise, to be told sorry about that,... more

The location is OK, not the best in town, but you get what you pay for, allthough we have stayed at other guesthouses for a similar price in much better conditions. The room mas minuscule for 2 persons, if one wished to move the other had to climb on the bed to make space. Breakfast was very good, varied and... more

First, it was advertised as close to SEEC but in reality it is not close. If you want to be at SEEC by 8:00-8:30am which is what you need if you are exhibiting, forget about the breakfast at the hotel. You simly won't make it in time. If you really must have breakfast, then take a taxi to SEEC. I... more

Booked this as an overnight-er to lay our heads (3 English girlies in triple room) after going to the exhibition centre for the good food show. Taxi driver told us we were ideally placed; the west end of Glasgow. Turned out he was right. Great location for pubs and restaurants, all walking distance. (Mr Taxi recommended the Stravaigin; just round... more

We arrived after a long drive from Inverness. I THOUGHT I had booked this hotel, but upon arriving was told "no." Having said that, they had one room left and were very eager to be of help. We walked the three flights to our room (top floor) and although the room was very small, it was clean, with a bathroom... more

I simply chose this hotel because I needed a reasonable priced room in the vicinity of the SECC where I participated at the congress. The hotel surely isn't superior class and there are lots of small things that were obviously repaired and/or renovated in a hurry. That said, the room was small but convenient and contained everything I needed from... more

If you offstet the price of these rooms to what you actually get they are perfect and worth every penny paid. The welcome and departure at reception was second to none. The breakfast room was clean and well presented, breakfast was cooked to order and if you prefer continental breakfast everything you would expect to find was available. Rooms were... more
