We came to Glasgow in Jan 2011 to see John Barrowman in pantomime and stayed at the Alamo. That was at the end of the 2010 panto run. We came again in December 2011 to see him at the beginning of the 2011 panto run. We stayed at the Alamo again. Due to our personal schedules, we could only stay... More

We stayed at the Alamo for five nights over the New Year period. It is a stone's throw from the park, and situated in a lovely quiet terraced street very close to all that Glasgow's West End has to offer. The place has a real homely feel, and all the Christmas decorations and huge tree made it a great place... More

We look forward to returning to the Alamo House in April, 2012. The location in only one reason to stay here. It is on a quiet side street across from Kelvin Grove Park and Museum. Each room is unique with interesting antique and comfortable furnishings. Even though some have shared bathroom facilities, we have rarely even seen other guests in... More

thought the place was good, but expensive for room 1 luxury double room ensuite £115, the bed was uncomfortable, needs new mattress & towels/dressing gowns didn`t smell fresh,no fabric conditioner at all. breakfast nice, only scrambled eggs & bacon on offer ,not full cooked breakfast which would have been better. quiet very little traffic noise, cute cat in the hall. Me, my fiance and one of our friends arrived at Alamo guest house by motorcycle. It was a B-eautiful day in Glasgow, about 25°C and that in the beginning of June. Steve was standing at the front door on his socks :) turns out he was the owner. Steve made us feel right at home. It was our first time... More

I setup a trip advisor account on the sole purpose to bounce on here and give The Alamo top marks. Stayed here a few weeks ago for one night when the RHCP's were playing in Glasgow. Katya who was manning the guest house at the time was very friendly and welcoming. The guest house has vintage/classy detail and decor. It... More

We had a very nice 5 night stay at the Alamo Guesthouse. It is very well located - across the park from the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. It is a quiet oasis away from the noise of the city but only a short bus/taxi ride to downtown. From the very warm welcome at arrival, the atmosphere is very homey.... More
