Very disappointing! My wife & I stayed 1 night in a large room with 2 double beds (en suite) for £70 not far from Glasgow city centre which sounds OK but was let down by a number of things. - Mattress very hard - we didn't sleep very well at all - Lukewarm water in shower & wash basin -... more

Positives: Single room was larger than expected; conveniently within walking distance of Glasgow Stadium - saved a lot of hassle and trip back into town. Negatives: Essentially rooms over a pub; not good value for price paid; very noisy road outside; radiator in bathroom was broken and had been turned on full blast which made the room very hot even... more

My boyfriend and I stayed one night at the Ivory as we were in town to see Bruce Springsteen at Hampden Park. We arrived around 4pm and the hotel bar and dining area were already quite busy with diners. We had booked a twin room as there were no doubles left and I was pleasantly surprised with the size of... more

A ghastly pub on a busy raod. The rooms above on three floors reached only by a steep staircase. Carpet very stained with black marks in the middle and under the table. The floor sloped towards the middle of the room and vibrated with every passing bus. The "shower" in the bath was hand held and did not fit in the... more

I looked at the slot machines and big screen TV as I entered the unprepossessing entrance of this hotel and wondered what we'd come to. Things changed though! Charlene was a terrific help, directed us to the Burrell Collection (which we'd come to see and wasn't far away); the room was very nice with a large bathroom and the food... more

We stayed for one night on 8th May and were really pleased with this hotel. First impressions were really good, all of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Off street parking for the hotel was a great bonus. Our room was large, very clean and quiet, we were not bothered by noise at all. Beds were firm and comfortable.... more

We spent a week at the Ivory Hotel and can't say enough good things about our experience there. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and had a lovely view facing Queen's Park. The hotel is located in a nice, quiet area in Glasgow and has a good pub and restaurant that makes it an ideal place to unwind after a... more

Stayed here on the basis of the previous reviews. You book in in the bar / restaurant area, which is clean and modern. Given the room key and told the room was on second floor. The stair and landing carpets were not clean, but proceded to my room. On one landing there was an ironing board and a vacumn cleaner.... more
