We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Scottish touring holiday. We had in fact stayed before about 15 years ago, but it did not make much of an impression and we hadn't been back. Corrour House had since changed ownership and we really enjoyed our stay. The lovely house itself with its views towards Cairngorm and large... more

We stayed for 3 nights when we were walking the Lairig Ghru. Really enjoyed it - the architecture, the comfy bed, and especially the breakfast. Nice and quiet and friendly. One of my brothers stayed at the Hilton in Coylumbridge and having been there so see him I was even more delighted we stayed at the Corrour House for the... more

We really enjoyed our stay - the hotel is run by a very friendly and helpful couple, and the place itself is a beautiful building set in a fine location. A recommended antidote to the bland chain hotel experience. more

We found this jewel in the crown several years ago by accident, and have never looked back . Keen bird watchers, we spend many hours in Aviemore throughout the year. In fact we love it so much we got married there (that's a hilarious story in itself! -the registrary office doubles as the vets surgery - and the same building... more

Arrived to a very warm welcome from the owners who offered us information on local places to eat, visit etc before showing us to our room. Our room on the first floor facing out front had gorgeous views to the grounds which often had local wildlife to be spotted and horses in the back field - a real feast for... more

After our previous unpleasant stay at the Hilton in Aviemore, we were anxious to find alternative accommodation in the area and were recommended by the locals to stay here instead. The house is a Victorian Dower house located on the edge of the Rothiemurchus estate with its many charms and activities including the wonderful Ord Ban restaurant. It is in... more

A most excellent experience acquired over a 3-night stay whilst on a business trip to the Aviemore Trade Show. A warm welcome, beautiful building, excellent room and a great breakfast to complete. A very peaceful and tranquil setting yet only minutes from Aviemore centre. Excellent value overall. more

We stayed for one night at this small hotel. We were welcomed by the owners with a cup of tea, which was complimentary, and they advised on local sights. The hotel is in an excellent position. It is just outside Aviemore, on the road to the mountains and ski slopes. It is set in its own grounds, which our small... more

We spent a night at Corrour House while on our tour of Scotland. The house is an Edwardian dower house or possibly a (rather grand) hunting lodge, and stands in secluded grounds at the end of its drive, with a great view towards the mountains. Rooms at the front of the house enjoy this view. If you like polished wood... more
