After trawling the internet for days looking for somewhere cosy, relaxing and luxurious to stay we decided on this place for a few days 'chlling time'. What a great choice we made!! I totally agree with other reviewers comment that this is what all B&B's should be like. The four large rooms are all very similar in design and decor.... more

We had an outstanding stay at the Old Minister's House. If there is such a thing as a luxury B&B this is it. The rooms were spacious and airy. The bathroom was also quite large and all the furniture/decorations looked new. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding. Kate, the owner, was very helpful during our entire stay and even... more

Stayed here as part of a fly-fishing trip, it's a beautiful conversion, huge rooms, really nicely decorated. The sherry is a lovely welcoming touch. Breakfasts very fresh and a good selection. We're not B&B people in general, but The old Minister's is what all B&B's ought to be like. more

Excellent stay in comfortable, nice surroundings. The house and the bathrooms are immaculately clean and lashings of hot water and fluffy towels. All rooms are very spacious and very comfortable and really appreciated the rain head shower and great hot water pressure. All rooms have a bathub and shower which is great for soaking. Welcomed on arrival with tea and... more

Just back from a lovely three night stay with Kate. Room lovely. Coffee and home made brownies on arrival. Fell asleep listening to river behind guest house. Kate's breakfasts are good with yummy homemade jam. Lots of good tips for eating out and the cake shop is well worth the drive along the narrow road. Sherry in room nice way... more

The Old Minister’s House is a wonderful place to stay. Kate and Ken Tod are fantastic hosts, providing a very warm welcome which makes you feel very much at home. The homely touches made our stay memorable, home baked fruit cake and tea on arrival, delicious sherry in the bedroom to sip before going out for dinner, and breakfast with... more

We have just returned from four superb days in the Cairngorms staying in Aviemore at the Old Minister's House. We were met by the proprietors who made us welcome with tea and home made fruit cake in the warm and comfortable visitor's lounge. We were shown to our room which was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent, particularly... more

We had the pleasure of a repeat stay at this wonderful small hotel and it again surpassed our expectations. The Minister's House has seen a change of ownership since last we visited in 2004 however the hotel is still wonderful and exudes a warmth which makes one's stay a very happy time. We were greeted by Kate (one of the... more

Just spent the night here at the end of a two weeks long tour of Northern Scotalnd, and I have to admit this was the most comfortable, spacious and probably the best B+B / Guest House that I have ever been in. My main regret is in only having one night there. The Hoose is conveniently located next door to... more

My wife and I found this B&B through the Tourist Office in Aviemore after a dismal night spent in a decidedly down market Hotel in Aviemore. The tourist office didn't give this B&B any reccommendation, just the bare facts. When we got there and saw the place we thought they had made a mistake. We reckoned they had got the... more
