Just returned from Aviemore staying at the McDonald Highland resort in the Aviemore Inn hotel. This was our first time in the Inn having stayed on the resort twice previously at the Academy and we were delighted with our stay. Booked via MacDonalds web-site as they were offering room only for just £19.99. You get what you pay for. The whole MacDonalds resot is a million years away from the run-down area that were on the site just a few years ago . Then it was very much a 1970's place with simlar entertainment. I stayed in the ‘Aviemore Inn’ part of the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort for a two-night stag party in May 2007. I am not sure of the rates, as it was booked by another member of the group, but the B&B rate was very cheap. If I had to guess, our group rate probably worked at about £30pppn, but there... more

Registration is at the main reception. Room was clean but very hot. The lift broke down on the Saturday and was not repaired by Sunday check out - a problem for anybody with a disability. Breakfast is served at the Food Court. in a seperate building. Undercooked. Altogether I have had better for the £70 a night single that I... more
