We booked a1 night stay in the Annex at the hotel, The member of staff could not answer any of our question regarding the room. The annex compiled of two twin rooms and a separate bathroom. The rooms were to say the least dated but clean. I believe the annex rooms are not a reflection of the rooms in the... More

Apartments are very rundown, toaster didn't work, fridge was out too. Parking a major problem, top apartment door wouldn't lock, middle apartment had to get bed replaced, no sleep for 3 days for someone working 12 hour shifts not good enough. On the plus side the staff in the main hotel were nice, food was excellent

After spending 20 mins trying to find the place finally found only by chance, It's entrance is not on the road it states but a side road which it shares with the restaurant down stairs of a completely different name. There was no one at the reception so went into the Bar where we got one of the members of... More

on the website, this hotel looked so fantastic. but it wasn't... my room was not only old but it was also broken and grubby. I found my stay not friendly but it was one of the best showers I had on my trip! Nethertheless, luckily I only spent one night in Thurso.

Booked here because of the restaurant which unfortunately was closed. Room was clean enough and the breakfast was basic but fine. Ate at the Y not restaurant which was great. It is a pub/restaurant with rooms.

We stayed as part of a group in May 2012. We slept in the annexe, which, while a little noisy as the pubs & clubs came out, was very clean and reasonably spacious. Parking is somewhat restricted, so that's maybe a small negative. The breakfast was beautiful, with fresh, local ingredients, served by a lovely, cheery helpful lady (I'm sorry,... More

The annexed rooms we stayed in were clean and reasonably spacious The breakfast was excellent with sliced sausage. We felt that good quality ingredients had beeen chosen. Stayed with partner late February. Small hotel with restuarant attached. Clean rooms, good bar food plus best bar in Thurso . But thats not to difficult. If in Thurso this is the best place to stay.

Enjoyed the hotel although the four parking spaces would be a problem in the summer. Room was clean and adequate, all the staff we met were very polite and helpfull. Bathroom needs an update with water marks and a general outdated feel. Stay two nights and used the bar for a meal and drinks the first night. Good choice and... More
