I have put off making this post, as I don't like to write negatively, but I feel I have to do so, so people are aware.
I made a five night tour of the Highlands in late September this year, with my friend. Each B&B that we booked, I confirmed the price by phone first, then confirmed the booking and price by email. I chose this B&B because they had a double room with shared bathroom for £45 a night, keeping within my "under £50 a night" budget. When I phoned to book and confirm the price, the husband said that was fine. I booked the double room with shared bathroom. I was asked for a name, as with the other bookings, and gave my name.
I then confirmed the booking for the double room with shared bathroom, and the price, on an email, which email was then confirmed by the B&B owner.
