Stayed overnight on a brief escape from work in Aberdeen. Would stay there again. Rooms: simply decorated, well appointed, clean, comfortable. Restaurant: nice menu, limited wine list, efficient service. Was a little surprised to be told that payment by Amex would incur a 5% surcharge as this was not stated on my reservation (via booking.com). I believe that this should... More

Warm and friendly team welcomed us after a long drive. We stayed three-nights to see the Castle of Mey (12 miles) and John O'Groats (20 miles) plus day trip on boat to Orkney Islands. The simple exterior of the hotel undersells the friendliness of the staff and the excellence of the meals. Recommend the mango and brie parcels! Room very... More

We have just returned from a one night stay in this hotel while visiting up north. We were given a nice quiet room out the back of hotel (as requested). The room was adequately equipped and had a huge shower cubicle! We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel, and weren't disappointed at all. Large portions and very friendly... More

We were only there one night, but it was a good experience. This is a genuine three star hotel, with generously sized, clean and comfortable rooms, but the outstanding feature was the staff. They just cared. All did that tiny bit more than the minimum requirement and made staying there a really pleasant night, as opposed to just another night... More

We have stayed two nights here and cannot praise the facility enough. One of us is confined to a wheelchair, and the disabled facility was perfect for us. The parking was by the door, there are plenty of electrical outlets at the correct level , and the wheel-in shower room was beautiful and extremely well thought out! Thurso is a... More

Just back from a 2 night stay in this hotel. we had a room in the main building which had a lovely view over Thurso. Room was clean and always had a lovely fresh smell. The food in the hotel was lovely, you knew it was fresh local produce. Both breakfast and dinner menu's had a great selection and we... More

Mmm Where to start?? Journeyed to Thurso so far North on the UK mailand you could get a nose bleed from the altitude. Got a welcome of sorts!!,... filled out the paper work and was given a room outside the main hotel to the rear. My first impression of the room was small, dark and NO bath just a large... More

Where to start- not sure myself. You booked a business room which isnt advertised as having a bath. Our business guests want power showers and thats what we put in our new block. Our inside rooms have kingsize beds and baths but on 1 of the busiest weekends of the year there were none left. The rooms have wardrobe, chest... More

It's pretty basic, but it's clean, good value for money and the staff are lovely. If you're looking for those things in a hotel, then you've just found it. You DO have to understand that in this part of the country things are pretty relaxed and run at a slow pace - and that's not a bad thing! If you... More

Once again an excellent stay at The Park Hotel. Let's make it simple. Welcome - fantastic and even a wee nip to warm the cockles of your heart. Room - clean, well appointed and spacious. Food - excellent menu, curries are better than an Indian restaurant. Staff - are the hotels biggest asset, very polite and knowledgeable. Location - it... More
