stayed for one night whilst passing through. very friendly staff, excellent food both dinner and breakfast. Apartment room was quietly located and spacious although bathroom was a bit basic. Overall good value for money and certainly better than several others we looked at in the area before deciding. would recommend. more

We stayed with our toddler in one of the appartments which had a perfect location for being generally quiet, yet central enough to walk to the town centre and a chinese on the same road. There was good facilities including towels, soaps, washing machine so really handy with a toddler to give us our independence. We needed enough bedroom floorspace... more

I stayed at the Station Hotel for two nights in May 2008. I'd requested a non-smoking room, but was allocated one which smelled very smoky. No attempt seemed to have been made to rectify this, with the window firmly shut when I arrived. I understand that non-smoking rooms cannot be guaranteed, but feel that, as I'd stated my preference, some... more

A pleasant stay with good food and service. I was in one of the apartments at the back, which while a little creaky was comfortable. If you're the first to draw hot water on a morning or evening, it can take a little while to come through, but it will. It's central too with it's own off the road car... more

Seriously, there really is a framed testimonial letter hanging in the lobby from (later - Sir) Harry Lauder, dated 1905. For our purposes, it was a charming spot - the food was very good & the beds especially comfortable. Very much in keeping with... more

Excellent room off the courtyard at the back of the hotel; modern and cosy even during the cold weather. Food was very good both nights I ate there. Customer service is excellent - from the packed breakfast to take on the early morning train to sending by special delivery the keys I had left behind!! Well recommended. more

we stayed for three nights, on arrival we were upgraded to an apartment. the staff were all very friendly and very helpfull, in spite of the hotel being very busy due to two coaches that were carrying German and Italian tourists. The breakfasts are very good, we did eat dinner in the resturant on two occasions and were not disappointed... more
