All was promising in the booking, etc, and - important for a security-conscious solo traveller on a 14 day trip - yes I could use a credit card to pay ( handy to avoid carrying too much cash) However, on arrival, owners actually away on holiday, a relative was in charge. I have been a regular visitor to Wick through my work over the years and so have stayed in several B&B, I would recommend Bank House as one of the best and certainly the nicest. BRAVO Bank House 10 out of 10 more

Wick is home to the shortest street in the world. That's not hearsay or local rumour, it's in the Guinness Book of Records. myself and my husband had a long weekend so wanted somewhere nice for a break away. the couple that own the b&b are very friendly, attentive and the rooms are fantastic, very spacious comfortable and extremely clean. there was plenty tea, coffee facilities in the room and breakfast was lovely compliments to the cheff. on the main street of wick... more
