Having visited many restaurants in the area. Four of us went for our first Sunday lunch at this Hotel. A good choice of menu, with something to suit us all. Very good value for money, we left very full and very satisfied.

Approaching the dilapidated exterior of the hotel, one is tempted to step on the gas and drive on, but once inside and past the rather odd reception area, the room itself was all we'd have wanted it to be: clean, a good size and well maintained. Not all the rooms are en-suite, so be careful when booking! We stayed for... More

Stayed here overnight on our way to Orkney. Nice friendly staff, spacious room, plenty towels, comfy beds. We had a lovely meal and breakfast. Would have had a great nights sleep too but oh dear they had music (I think that is what it was!!) playing until 2 am in the bar below our room. Why do hotels do this?... More

we are sorry for the noise from the bar, the bar staff are told to make sure that it is not too loud, we are afraid that we could not put you in another room had you asked because the only empty room was in fact booked , but the people had a breakdown and couldn't make it , we... More

Stayed here after travelling across from Durness and wanting to avoid John o'Groats. Found the hotel on laterooms and for the price it seemed a bargain. When we arrived and saw the exterior I began to wonder what we had let ourselves in for, and again when we entered the reception. The man that greeted us was friendly however, and... More

Stopped here for two nights in July 2012. Friendly staff and a basic but perfectly adequate room was all that I needed after a long drive from London. I had a non en-suite room (not sure if any have) but there was a sink in the room which was fine. The owner was friendly and very helpful as there had... More

Thankyou for your review we do try hard to keep everyone happy, we were glad to be of assistance to you, we do have en-suite rooms, but are a little more expensive although I think that we were fully booked on this occasion. More

Friendly family run establishment. The building needs refurbishing but it's clean and the bed was comfortable. But for the price we would have expected en suite. If you like live music till late fine, but if you have had a long drive and want an early night then look elsewhere. To be fair the volume was turned down a tad... More

Thankyou for your comments , yes the outside certainly needs some work, we do work hard to keep the rooms clean and make everyones stay as pleasant as possible , we don't feel that £50 is too much for a double room with a good cooked breakfast, it is certainly a very competitive rate for the area, en-suite rooms are... My husband, grandson and myself had a short break to Keiss and stayed at this hotel. On arrival we could see immediately that the place could really do with a face-lift. The paint work is shabby and the whole place has a sad look about it. On entering the reception area, there is a most off-putting smell, musty, as though... More

We are sorry that you couldn't manage the shower, that was our fault for not telling you that the button has to be pressed to stop the water flow, we wish that you had come to us to let us know and we could easily have told you how to work it , we could also have let you have... More

I have stayed here a few times with work and have always been made to feel welcome. The building does look off putting from outside and could do with a lick of paint. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. The owners are friendly,The Bar serves Good Beer and Food. The breakfast is the usual B&B fayre but well cooked.... More
