Small room but as by myself this was fine. Nice shower too and was clean. Downside was the smell of smoke which although I could not locate it was ever present. Desperate need too of a new carpet! Needed a taxi for the morning so asked if this could be booked and was told to remind her (the owner) in... More

The hostess was absolutely lovely, my room was spotless, cozy, and charming, and breakfast was delicious and more than ample. I left breakfast both mornings I stayed stuffed to the gills. Other people have commented that perhaps the B&B needs updating... I would disagree. Anyone who regularly uses B&Bs across the UK/Europe would find this place top notch, compared to... More

I stayed at Ivanhoe for 2nights during my first trip to Scotland - the location was perfect (however I did have a car) and the lady who runs the place was so incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the minute I stepped in. She was in fact the highlight because she didn't make me feel like I was... More

Stayed in the single room which was cosy but more than adequate. Provided with tv, wifi, tea and coffee. The little things like sweets and small hand wash bottles were a nice touch! The only negative thing I would say was that this room did smell of smoke (which was aware of before from here)-most people might not notice-but all... More

5 of us stayed here so after going for food we decided to go back and have a drink in the big room unfortunately the glasses were in shocking state, dirt, lipstick plus months of dust on them. The rooms are over priced for the condition, really require "freshed" up!

I stayed here for one night and found it a comfotable and pleasant place to stay. it is convenient for the town and is in a quiet street. There is free on street parking. The breakfasts are good and the landlady is very friendly. The only complaint I have is that I feel it is a bit overpriced.
