Location, location, location! Easy walk from city center, quiet pretty spot by the river. Also nice walk to swimming pool & river islands. Friendly, helpful proprietor had the most warm & nurturing style out of all the places we stayed on this trip. Room was a bit cramped w/ not enough hooks or places to put things, but otherwise nice.

We stayed two nights at Macrae and Joyce was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was huge compared to some we stayed in although the shower was pretty small - no room to turn around. Beautifully located on the River Ness, perfect for a stroll into the town centre on an evening. Parking on site. Rooms/bathrooms very clean and everything you need in a bedroom. Landlady very jolly and very accommodating, told us where to go and where to eat etc, even gave us a voucher for free drinks. Highly recommended.
