A lovely hotel in a charming setting by Loch Ness. Food was British and hearty and the staff were very helpful and friendly with Willy having a fantastic knowledge of the area to help my explore. Although nothing around the setting on Loch Ness made up for it. Rooms were clean and had all the standard amenities. more

stayed at the clansman for two nights while site seeing around the amaying highlands. The location is perfect - right on the banks of Loch Ness and 10 minutes drive from Inverness. Myself and two of my sisters went for lunch at what we thought was Cobb's restaurant I wasn't told that it is not open lunch times.......turned out it was the bar! we had three starters and three main courses...we just couldn't face the pudding. This hotel is literally on the banks of Loch Ness, which is beautiful. Their rooms are lovely, and spotlessly clean. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Came all the way up with my girlfriend from edinburgh, and needed a cozy warm hotel with friendly staff to greet us after a long drive, and the clansman excedded our expectations!!!! We didn't stay here, but we did eat here twice - once for dinner and then lunch the next day. Absolutely our best meals in Scotland.
