We stayed here for one night, the only room they had available was the deluxe double with a riverside view. The hotel website gives the impression it is a boutique, contemporary hotel. Our room was not decorated in this way, we found it out of date, with a very small bed. The room felt cluttered with an old fashioned TV... more

I found this hotel to be an very comfortable place to spend the night. While the room was a little small (not smaller than I expected), the bath was very nice with an excellent shower. The bed was great- I had a terrific night's sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was quite nice. Excellent location on... more

We visited this hotel for a 2 night stay which included a Valentine's Day treat, the hotel has 2 separate buildings, we were located in the building which hosts Contrast Restaurant. The location of this hotel is ideal being situated on the banks of the River Ness and only a 5 minute walk to the town centre. The decor in... more

We stayed at the Glenmoriston for four nights in September on a golf holiday to the highlands. There were four couples in our group and we had varied rooms. Two couples upgraded to riverviews, for extra charge, and were given two very nice appointed updated rooms but they were very very small(under the eaves with one queen size bed). The... more

This hotel is trying to be a small luxury hotel, though rooms are too cramped overpriced and missing vital items to be considered luxury. The hotel is also very noisy with too many rooms in an old house. Staff are comically rude at times and the smallest request takes ages to be dealt with. Food in Abstract restaurant is excellent... more

Have stayed in many hotels in Scotland but felt this one tried too hard but failed in the basics such as no space to set toiletries down in the bathroom so we had to use the floor very little storage space in the bedroom so we didn't even bother to unpack for the 3 nights that we were there dvd... more

Well. Where to start. I guess we went there quite simply because we had seen the Gordon Ramsay programme about the food, and wanted to see for ourselves just how it had all turned out. Essentially, the food was excellent, the service superb, the wine list good but marked up too much, the accomodation above average but uninspired, the location.................... more

Warning: reading the glenmoriston homepage you will expect a very special hotel with luxury rooms. what you find is an ordinary hotel with very narrow oldfashioned 70th style rooms. Very disappointing, totally overpriced. Better stay away! more

The hotel web site paints a picture of very well appointed modern rooms that are stylishly furnished. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to find our room was extremely old fashioned and at £150 a night, exorbitantly priced. Taking exception to this we contacted the staff to complain. The response from the staff was to insist that we had not... more

The Glenmoriston Town House was recommended to us by a friend. It is in a fantastic, central location on the banks of the river Ness. We were upgraded to a river view room with double aspect windows which felt really spacious. The room was decorated in a fresh, modern way and was very clean with a fab bathroom. The highlight... more
